A change in our life. A change in ourselves. A change in the world that we live in.
A video uploaded by Google Trends, “Year in search 2022,” recently enlightened me.
I wouldn’t shy away from confessing that it brought a smile to my face and made me secretly cheer for all those people in the video who stepped up to take control of their lives by asking a very simple question, “Can I change…?”
It is a positive sign that people still have the courage to fight back, not just for themselves but for a greater cause. I would love to call them the real “fighters.” A fight may cause the slightest, most negligent shift, but we often fail to realise that it will eventually bring a significant degree of change.
In 2022, I too attempted to bring about some changes in my life when, out of the blue, I received my health report from the doctor. The change was small, but I was aware that it was going to prove beneficial for me, improving my reports in the coming future. But I wouldn’t disagree that submitting yourself to such a task that will bring about a momentous change in your life is not for the faint of heart. Watching those people in the Google video, I could see the hunger in their eyes. So I asked myself, “Why don’t I see that desire in my eyes?”
I got the answer immediately. Maybe I do not understand the importance of that change. Maybe I do not see the criticality of my health.
It saddened me. For many of us, it is so easy to lose faith, give in to fatigue, or fall back into old habits and remain demotivated for years. I wonder, why can’t we all bring about symbolic changes in our lives that turn our lives into a blissful journey?
Why aren’t we capable of taking that difficult move to wake up every morning and spare the first few hours of the day to focus on our mental and physical wellbeing?
It is definitely achievable. I was reminded of this fact after watching that Google video. I’m so sure that the pride and joy on the faces of those people when they shared their success stories online would have been infectious. I too wish to see that on my face someday.
So, can we really bring about a change? Yes.
Is it easy? Definitely Not.
Does it take time? Hell, Yes.
Is it worth it? A hundred percent!
A change can start small. From yourself. And when you inspire others, you will drive someone else to achieve that positive change. When that person inspires another, with time, we will be able to make a significant change in a community, and then our world will also experience that positive change.
I appreciate the efforts of people who are working day and night to bring about positive changes in our lives.
Change is good. Change is a constant.
