A Six-Day Delight for My Creative Mind
I decided to make a switch in my career two years ago. That’s when I started to look for writing courses to learn the art. I have been writing as a hobby since my teenage, but I was aware that my writing needed a slight finishing; a professional touch.
One day, while scrolling down my Instagram feed, I came across Content Vidhya’s post about their upcoming Content Writing Workshop. It definitely caught my attention as I wanted to enroll in one of these courses for a long time.
I clicked on the link and went through their landing page that described everything that I wanted to know. The added benefits for me; it was an online and a certified course.
I took a week to decide whether I wanted to register for this workshop or find something else. Finally, I enrolled in the 6- day workshop.
DAY- 1
I wasn’t expecting the workshop to be so focused on basics. The first two days covered all the writing styles and strategies. The trainer kept stressing on using simple and error-free language throughout our articles. My interest intensified after we received our first assignment to implement all the learning of the day and the best part was;
we were encouraged to have our own voice. Our views reflected in our assignments.
DAY- 4
It was definitely a much-needed day-off. It provided us with hours to recollect the previous days’ lessons, implement ideas, and write better.
DAY- 6
Being a morning person, I never thought I would be able to attend a session at night. It was a challenge to sit in front of my laptop right after my dinner and concentrate on the webinar.
But, what kept me on my toes was the daily assignments. They were crucial for our learning. I reserved three hours of my day for these assignments irrespective of other engagements. It really helped.
I left our last session with enough knowledge to polish my writing skills and always provide value to my readers.
The day I chose to become a writer, I had decided to help my readers explore the mysterious world of words and human emotions that I would consciously create for them.
This workshop was only a baby step towards fulfilling my dreams.
